Comprehensive Care for Sleep Disorders

Sleepiness during the day, trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, and unusual behaviors during sleep are all potential signs of a sleep disorder.

We’ll begin your care by determining the cause of your sleep problem. To help us do this, we may ask you to keep a sleep diary before your appointment.

We’ll take a health history and give you a basic physical exam at our offices. We may also need to conduct a sleep study. Common sleep disorders include…

  • Insomnia
  • Sleep Apnea
  • Narcolepsy
  • Restless Legs Syndrome

Once the cause of your sleep problem is identified, we’ll discuss your treatment choices. Lifestyle and behavior changes plus medication are often effective treatments for sleep disorders.

Devices that assist with healthy sleeping can also address the symptoms.  For example, a CPAP mask can be a useful treatment for obstructive sleep apnea. Weight management, oral appliances, and ENT procedures are also options for treating obstructive sleep apnea.

How much you sleep and how well you sleep affects your health, your enjoyment of life, and your personal safety.

We’ll work hard to achieve the best possible quality of life for you. Please call 832-510-6553 to make an appointment.
